Vanilla is one of the world's most refined spices—its aroma is warm, sweet, and evocative of comfort. It originates from Mexico and today grows primarily in tropical regions around Ecuador. But what many people don't realize is that most of the vanilla on the global market today comes from monocultures, is cultivated with intensive pesticide use, and is extremely susceptible to disease and price manipulation.

We are taking a different approach.

Vanilla from living forests – not plantations

Our vanilla grows in the Cabruca agroforests in southern Bahia, Brazil, alongside cocoa, wild trees, herbs, birds, and insects. It's part of a vibrant ecosystem that values biodiversity over exploitation.

The Cabruca cooperative, where we source our vanilla and cocoa, is certified organic and operates in harmony with nature. The plants are tended and harvested by hand by people who practice their work with care, experience, and respect.

Our vanilla isn't just a spice—it's the expression of a commitment: to quality, authentic flavors, healthy soils, and fair conditions.

Why organic vanilla?

  • No pesticides or chemical fertilizers
  • Hand-picked, sun-dried and fermented
  • Promotes biodiversity and protects the rainforest
  • Maintains traditional cultivation methods and producers' knowledge

Our vanilla is available in glass tubes – ideal for the kitchen, bakery or your daily rituals.
